Statement by Carolina Seminars Director regarding Race, Justice and Recent Acts of Police Violence

To Our Campus Community

We at Carolina Seminars stand in solidarity with all of those who have expressed their anger, outrage and commitment to justice and social transformation given the anti-black violence in the United States and the world.  We at Carolina Seminars also find this violence abhorrent and so we also ask: what will you do? How will you commit to action? At Carolina Seminars we follow our curiosity and the work that emerges can be transformational.  In that spirit, we invite you to read the statements from our campus community, but also consider how you will be the difference this moment requires.

Tanya Shields
Director, Carolina Seminars
